Bruno Mantovani

Bruno Mantovani (*1974) studied piano and percussion performance and jazz at the Conservatory in Perpignan and attended the Conservatoire de Paris starting in 1993, where he graduated with five First Prizes. He then studied musicology at the University of Rouen and took courses in computer sciences and instrumentation at IRCAM in Paris from 1998 to 1999. Since August 2010 he has been the director of the Conservatoire de Paris.
His works are regularly performed internationally by major orchestras and ensembles. He has won numerous awards and international honours, for example being named “Compositeur de l’année” (composer of the year), receiving the Prize of the Association of International Music Journalists and being made a member of the “Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” in 2010.
